Description: উপরের অনুচ্চেদটির বন্ধনীর মধ্যে যে word গুলি [ am/is/are ] দেওয়া রয়েছে সেগুলিকে বলা হয় 'Be Verb' যার অর্থ হল যথাক্রমে [ হই / হয় / হও ] । এই 'Be Verb' গুলির ব্যবহারিক প্রয়োগ সম্পর্কে সঠিক ধারনা রাখা অত্যন্ত আবশ্বিক। Present Tense এ এগুলি Principle Verb হিসেবে কাজ করে। Am - যার বাংলা অর্থ হল- হই। ইংরেজীতে 'am' এর ব্যবহার Pronoun ' I ' ব্যতিত কোনো Noun বা Pronoun এর পাশে ব্যবহৃত হয় না। যেমন- 'আমি হই' এই বাক্যটির ইংরেজী হবে ' I am ' । এবার আসা যাক ' is ' ভার্বটিকে কোথায় ব্যবহার করব। ' is ' এই শব্দটির বাংলা অর্থ হল - ' হয় ' । 'is ' সর্বদা 'You' বাদ দিয়ে বাকী সকল Singular Number 'Noun ও Pronoun' এর পরে বসে। যেমন-

এবার আমরা দেখব ' are ' ভার্বটি কখন ব্যবহৃত হয়। 'am ও is ' শব্দ'দুটির বহুবচন রূপ হল 'are' যার বাংলা অর্থ হল- হও। 'are' be verb টি Singular Number 'You' এবং বাকী সকল Noun বা Pronoun এর Plueral Number এর পরে বসে। যেমন-
